World Cup Trophies for the Ladies

The trophy’s in jubilant Spanish hands and the new World Cup Champions will be burning takkie in celebration for weeks, possibly months, to come. If there’s one thing the Spanish are good at it’s fiestas, oh and naps, and tapas and fighting bulls. Basically if it involves good times you can bet Spain know how to do it, just ask anyone whose been to Ibiza, if they can remember it.

Where were we? aaah yes trophies. So Germany’s Thomas Mueller nabbed the Golden Boot award for his 5 World Cup goals and the Best Young Player award, Diego Forlan wins the Golden Ball award as the tournament’s best player and Iker Casillas secured the Golden Gloves for the tournament’s best goalkeeper.

While FIFA has dished out its silverware there is still some contention about who gets the vote as the ladies’ favorite player. Bowl philosophy published the “What Women Want from the 2010 SWC” post less than 2 weeks ago, it has since received over 3,000 visitors and been the subject of some outspoken emails. Thanks to all of you of you who took the time to educate me about the finer points of your favorite male football stars.  Without further ado here are your top 4 soccer players judged not on the content of their character, but on pure physical appearance…so shallow. Gosh!

Fernando Torres was your favorite by a considerable margin, followed by Yoann Gourcuff, Gerard Pique and David Villa.

[Thanks Schme]

Apparently thumb sucking is making a come back, who knew!
