FIFA 2010 world Cup Preview Group H

Spain headlines the final group in the 2010 World Cup tournament, hopefully Group H will provide us with a feast of goals.

Chile Honduras Spain Switzerland

Chile qualified second to Brazil in South America and are capable of significant goal tallies. Their first finals in 12 years, Chile are a gutsy, attacking outfit. Expect entertaining football from La Roja.

Honduras is at the World Cup after a 28-year absence, narrowly qualifying ahead of Costa Rica. They’re not in great form, and their away record is patchy.

Spain football Fan

Spain are favorites to lift the World Cup in July. They’ve been red hot over the past year, and offer the complete package as a team, strong from 1 to 11 and peppered with world class game changers in Fabrigas and Xavi and with the striking prowess of Fernando Torres its hard to see them not blazing their way through this group and the knock out phases.

Switzerland are a disciplined side and efficient as a team, though the lack flair and the creativity necessary to make a significant impact in a World Cup tournament. They’re a top 20 side, strong defensively and could present problems for Chile.

What we think will happen:
Spain to top the group with little trouble followed by Chile, Switzerland picking up third place and Honduras finishing fourth.
